Lemme guess, so they are less likely to become lobbying whores?  On that note it amazes me how people making like a buck fiddy a year become multi millionaires in plain sight, and no one seems to give a ***** enough to look into it beyond complaining about it.  Those clowns are essentially criminals in plain sight, and no one cares.

This is another problem with a simple solution, fix the salary to whatever and bump it each year with a COLA. Do the same with the MW.
