Straight-Pride parade in Boston
#13
I get that the Westboro folk hate homos.  But what was the infatuation with trashing our military over it?  They would harass service members' funerals for #### sakes.  What did they think our military was doing, simply making the ME more hospitable to the interior design industry?  Confused

I hate any type of parade. Nothing worse than marching in the hot sun going to an open field to stand around and listen to some dude - who 'made it' 20 years - talk about his boring career coming to an end. This is why I hate all parades. Gay, Straight, Puerto Rican, Thanksgiving, St.Patrick's, etc. It does not matter.
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

Only parade we would attend as a family was our local Memorial Day parade.  Last couple years I've missed it though because I'm driving home from this little ole race in Indiana.  Anyway, I think it's good for people that never served to once a year get off their azz and allow the old vets see you out there paying your respects to their friends that were killed and to them as well.  It's an hour or two once a year.  Other than that, we don't do parades either.

Outside of parades, I think there's an even worse thing to attend, and that's virtually any graduation ceremony.  I guess Woody Hayes gave an inspiring one at OSU back in the 80s, but outside of that rare scenario the brutal droning on and on is just a nightmare.

My graduation at tOSU got rained out-I wasn't disappointed. Our commencement speaker was some dorky newspaper columnist no one had ever heard of, but he was from UA or Worthington-but a NW alum. He later got in trouble for some #metoo stuff w/ an intern at his newspaper, years before #metoo.

Agree.  WHAT a bunch of cowards with the masks attacking an unarmed man.  He's taken a few beatings.
