I've mentioned before that Daughter #1 heard her speak in NYC in circa 2010. Daughter worked for a huge RE company and it was mandatory. I asked the day after what HRC had to say and the daughter said she didn't pay attention at all.

I am pretty sure HRC had a canned speech wherein she changed a few specifics for the new audience and got paid whatever for it. That is why she didn't want the texts to be released, it would be embarrassing to get paid $100 K for a speech that was given all the time.

I vaguely recall similar speakers coming in when I was employed, we had mandatory "year end meetings". At some point I stopped going, they were too depressing, and the speakers were never "enlightening" or relevant to me. They finally dropped the event.

I had a friend who had to present a talk at said meeting about some project, and after he came and sat next to me. This was in front of over 10,000 people. I congratulated him on his presentation and he told me "None of what I said was true, my original speech was completely altered to fit the point management wanted to make, and not a thing was true.".

He did pretty well careerwise in management over the years. I think he knew when to suck it up and go with the flow.

I was more cantankerous.
