Many of us feel lack of compliance is a larger problem than police misconduct and the benefit of the doubt should be with law enforcement. Kaepernick and such protesters lose much of the anti police stance as most of these incidents start at lack of compliance with law enforcement with deadly consequence.
A very reasonable take. Why is this so easily discarded when in other circumstances? Trump and his staff are not compliant with investigators. Why do some defend hiding tax records and ignoring subpoenas?Â
Is compliance only for middle class and below?

Seriously? Â Compliant for getting tax returns for what reason? Â Why? Â Did he not give sworn answers to mueller questions? Â Did Barr offer to testify? Â Was he rebuffed to use some congressional staff and not congressmen on the intelligence committee? Â Did mcghan testify? Â Is is against law to release unredacted mueller report to public? Â Mueller found zero in his investigation so when does it end?

The problem with guys like Kap is that their outrage and their criticism only flows in one direction. The BLM movement is a joke.

The whole thing of holding Barr in contempt is utter lunacy.  They simply want and need the spectacle. The man is bound by the law that congress passed!  You guys want the entire unredacted report?  Then change the law!  Good luck getting people to talk going forward, etc...  but this is your circus, so...

He should follow Obama. He sure was compliant.Â

I'd rather see the 30k emails that Hillary acid bleached than Trump's 35 year old tax returns.

Bad comparison. The president using legal means and the courts to deny the Dems political talking points is nothing like a criminal suspect resisting law enforcement.

It's a very uneducated take. Your scenarios aren't comparable, not even close.
Cops do not hold court to argue the nuances of the law. They enforce the law.Â
Judges and courts are where one challenges and argues the nuances of law. That's available to every citizen.

This is a good take.
Are some LEOs occasionally redneckish and wrong in their application of demands for 'compliance"-absolutely. Does the black dude with a bullet in his his skull have a chance to legally challenge said 'compliance" in a court of law prior to acquiescence........of course not.

Cops, like anyone else, develop attitudes through experience. Maybe some of these jaded cops should request some time off or some time behind a desk. We all know when we're not being objective. Every human has a tantrum every now and then. If merely seeing a kid with his pants half way down his ass is getting under your skin, that should be a red flag to yourself. I know, easier said than done. Still, maybe it's time for a break. Â
This probably belongs more in one of Pitch's threads, but what the heck, this is how the conversation is flowing.

Most people don't have any interaction with LE. This is really remarkable since the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world.
I'm not on any side in the situation. One bad cop is one too many. One stupid thug is one too many. Another reason I do not partake in jury duty.
The US needs a hard reset.
The America, and the American Military, that you once knew is gone.

I loved James Comeyâ€s testimony before Congress. He stated over 100 times he didnâ€t recall something.
Now he on a book tour and he remembers ***** wrong or things that didnâ€t happen. He has verbal diarrhea.

He is elite. Multi Millionaire.
James Brien Comey Jr. (/ˈkoʊmi/; born December 14, 1960) is an American lawyer who was the 7th Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) from 2013 until his dismissal in May 2017.[3] Comey had been a registered Republican for most of his adult life; in 2016, he described himself as unaffiliated.[4]
Comey was the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from January 2002 to December 2003, and the United States Deputy Attorney General from December 2003 to August 2005 in the administration of President George W. Bush. Comey appointed Patrick Fitzgerald to be the Special Counsel to head the grand jury investigation into the Plame affair after Attorney General John Ashcroft recused himself.[citation needed]
In August 2005, Comey left the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and became general counsel and senior vice president of Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Maryland.[5] In 2010, he became general counsel at Bridgewater Associates, based in Westport, Connecticut. In early 2013, he left Bridgewater to become a Senior Research Scholar and Hertog Fellow on National Security Law at Columbia Law School. He served on the board of directors of HSBC Holdings until July 2013.[6]
