I don't get it.  What do people that make between $15 and $30 an hour do for shelter?

Yes MH issues are there and everywhere.  The drug issue is really out of control but don't tell the dems that.  The other issue is when folks hear the city takes good care of you they navigate and migrate there which of course increases the population of homeless.

Housing cost yeah I can not rap my head around those numbers

Yes, this is definitely a legit point as well.  That said, the state is having an ever-increasing homeless problem  The LA area is having these tent cities springing up all over the place.  The California model just isn't sustainable in the long term.  Something's gotta give.

Nothing is going to change in terms of improvements.  California is becoming a third world area and this is what those look like. The wealthy will retreat to their own areas at some point and the cities will look like places you see in Central/South America or Africa.  The government will eventually be unable to pay its bills and the Democrats will take our money and give it to them.

I do remember Cincy downplaying it (FWIW, I do think he did include a few disclaimers in his original posts as well), but in all fairness he does that with virtually every issue.  He's dead center bullseye on a lot of stuff being overblown, but I think he missed this one.  Ya win some, ya lose some.  Such is life in the NH.

Ah yes tent cities.  They have them in Philly also but we are not allowed to talk about it because the dems in charge got it covered.

I know 2 people that were priced out of living in Cali and have returned home to Ohio.  They loved it out there and became more liberal along the way until they could no longer afford to be liberal.

My niece moved from Texas to Cali.  She's a hotel manager.  Or was.  Not sure if she's still in that buisness or not, but my point is that she moved out there; she made it about a year and had to move back to Texas.  Just flat unaffordable.  Couldn't swing it.

Drug Inc. the show on cable did a Silicone Valley show on the Drug use of Cocaine out there.

The turnover rate for jobs was about 18months in the Tech firms. very high rate of drug use from some of the brightest young minds who were recruited to go out there.
The one guy and dealer they featured confirmed it was rampatd and the norm. Many of the programers work alone in a office or cubicle and snort coke right off their desks. Get deliveries straight to their building or office.

A good read about that, considering what they do and work on kind of scary!

The misguided people who think drug legalization is the way to go should watch that series.  It completely exposes their arguments and honestly shows what happens when society embraces the drug culture.  It literally eats away the fabric and foundation of society.

I would never support legalization of highly addictive drugs that are dangerous as hell like:  smack, meth, etc...   Pot though, clearly does not fall into that category.

I know we've been down that road a million times already, but my point is that I would never in a million years support/vote for the legalization of all drugs.

But...but...but...druggies/stoners like pitch and stx say drug legalization is absolutely okey-dokey, and there are no victims involved with the consumption of narcotics.
