For whatever itâ€s worth, I asked my brother (an Army Ranger)...he picked the same corner Pitch did as first position, the spot I chose second.

His logic was thinking if a shooter comes in the front door he wonâ€t be looking to the corner first, heâ€d be looking at the counter.

He may have said that but no way I pick that spot.
I don't want a shootout with the thug.  I want the fastest way out the door.

Interesting. Close to the emergency exit or near the front wall?

There will be a stampede to the exits, if you are last in that line you are going to get shot.
If the front or side walls have windows, can you bust one out in time to escape? Probably not they are usually fairly thick.
So, your only option is to join the masses at the exits to flee or hunker down, play dead?

I guess you have to hope the shooter becomes fixated on one exit and flee towards the other.

In all the survival schools I attended one thing remained the same. The best chance of survival in any attack are the first 2 minutes. The reason? Chaos. That's when a person has to take decisive measures, and at split second speed. Does it take a hasty retreat or returning fire?

Won't know until the time arrives. I always survey the situation wherever I go. More now I have 1, possibly 3, others with me. That also dictates action. Main goal is to remove them from danger.

I know where the gun is stashed. Clemenza's grandson hid it for me. I'd sip and enjoy my beverage and relax. Seeing two people, outside, trying to work up the courage to enter the establishment, I'd get up like I need take a leak and grab the gun. Wait... wait... wait... when those two bust in, I'd come out blastin'. Two shots in the head. No way I'm dropping a Ruger .380. I keep the gun, casually walk out, and hop on my Schwinn... ride to a safe house where I meet a young lady... hard 9/10. We get married...

This is exactly what I was thinking.  You see everything and you have some cover from all the other customers.  If you didn't see the bad ***** coming you could probably get out in the mass confusion via the cover.

I assumed that you would be armed. I would say I1. You have your back to no one, you have a view of all entrances and exits, the counter and bathrooms.

Your boy Hightop took a tactical move out the back door of the nuthouse all butthurt cause I edited a racist post he made.   Too bad but he won't be back for a while like always.   He does this all the time.

I find it much more enjoyable to call out what I view as a wrong, either directly or passive aggressively, rather than taking my keyboard and going home.

If you are going to come here and post and I'm the one putting the work into running it with our mods don't get upset and leave over some editing.   Just relax and post and let it go.   I see something I think points toward racist remarks I'm editing it.

High Top needs to realize that while we are all about free speech over here, he could also get us shut down.  So his issue shouldn't be with Zig's editing.  The problem lies with the current pop culture itself.  Instead of simply firing back at HT, they want him muzzled.  The people that run the interwebz need to grow some balls.  If you don't like what HT has to say then fire back at him and let him have it.  Until that day arrives Zig will have to edit him.  I don't want to have to go through yet ANOTHER board change.  Sorry, but to use a worn out phrase...  it is what it is.
