I was told we were getting bombed from older friends at lunch time. Watched the rest unfold for the remainder of the school day after we got back from lunch.

I was in Silopi, Turkey. Oddly, I was there before for Operation Provide Comfort right after PGWI hostilities ended. I wondered what on earth happened or is going to happen that I was flown to this region. Well, 10 days later I found out.

Makes me wonder...

Now that the cockpit tapes have been released, their lack of action is more understandable. 

First they stabbed up the flight attendants, so passengers had that to deal with, as well as think about if they got any ideas. 

On top of that they were told that there was a bomb on board that they would detonate if anyone tried anything stupid. 

And yes, they were all under the impression that the plane would be landing somewhere, not used as a weapon. 

I was at a $100 min bet Blackjack table at Argosy when the news hit...

Radio guy today wondered out loud on Air today ,

Do you think the Country would unite like they did in 2001 if this happened again. ?

Then he thought about it and said No way all it would do is make the Trump haters scream it was his fault......

I was never angered. I knew it would happen someday since it was tried in I think 1993. I dislike anybody who defends, accepts, praises, or practices Islam. It should be wiped off the face of the earth.

That should have been our real goal after 9/11.  They gave us a perfect opportunity.  You deal with Islam just like we dealt with Nazism which was much less destructive and dangerous.   Instead, Bush and Obama invite them into our country as refugees.  WTF?

Yup. Wasted opportunity. Instead we invited the 7th century barbarians into our country. End result they out breed everybody and eventually get into government. Omar and Tlaib are just the beginning. They are the dumb ones. The actual clever ones will replace them in a generation. I used to feel bad for the next generations but not anymore. They have been warned and still choose to let the 7th century barbarians in.

I believe there was a large chunk of time where only AF1 and some military jets were the only things in the air over the entire nation.
