I think most people would agree with this.  That said, I just don't see how some people view a preference by someone as racist.  Oh well, we all have opinions.  Anyway, in the general scheme of things this  hill/topic really ain't worth dying on.
Personal preference-fine-it's your life, your wife, sleeping in your bed. Wanting an all white family tree-disapproving of someone else's personal choice based on race-that's bigoted.
No, it is not.  It's YOUR OPINION it's bigoted is all there is to your posting.  IF he thinks his race is superior to another and that is the reason I would agree but I do not know this and you do not either.
There is a difference between racial superiority-Nazi crap, Jim Crow stuff,etc,etc-and simple bigotry-aka-I don't want color in my bloodline.
Ok, pretty much the same ideology and to differentiate over this is trifling.   Same basic way of thinking.

For the record, the standard of what some here label as racist/bigoted is arbitrary, inconsistent, and drenched in hypocrisy.
Bad comparison. Affirmative action is a government policy, directly favoring certain minority groups at the expense of others. Wanting an all white family tree-not YOUR spouse, but your children's (again, criteria for a spouse other than your own), has nothing to do with government policy, just bigoted preferences for other people's spouses.

You prove my point... you find it acceptable, even honorable, to make choices based on skin color under conditions that you find palatable, hiding your racist and bigoted attitudes behind AA. As I said, you're drenched in hypocrisy.

Where did I make the claim I disapprove of interracial relationships?

Are you serious? When you said-without being asked or prompted- you didnâ€t want your kids to marry a non-Caucasian? Your question is 3v level stupid.

If someone has a preference they have a preference.  Doesn't mean they're gonna disown anyone or burn a cross in their front yard.

I have a co-worker who's black.  He mentioned to me that his mother asked him to never bring home a white girl.  Point is, contrary to popular belief, that not everyone is into the hooray for everyone mindset.  Anyway, that's her POV and I respect it (she has a semblance of self respect and pride in her heritage).  So on that note I just don't understand why so many people would view her as bigoted/racist and want to bend her will to some PC group think.  She isn't advocating violence or racial superiority; she simply wants black grand kids.  Not sure why people reflexively think that is so awful.

Switching gears a little it makes me think of Randy Weaver.  I remember the media hammering home that he was a, GASP, white separatist!  Knowing full well that the general public would only hear "white _______ist."   The man removed himself from people he didn't want to be around.  He didn't demand that they leave.  He didn't push for violence.  He simply moved away to be around people he wanted to be around.  That *****!  That's how the media helped justify his family getting massacred by the ATF.  After all, he was a white _______ist!   [Image: Em_RunningScared.gif]

Circling back, curious as to how some of you view people that exclusively date one race, be it their own race or another.  Does that mean they're racist or bigoted?   It's a dating preference, right?  Or is it more than that?

Black people can be as bigoted as anyone else. Many biracial people have spoken about getting crap from black people as much as whites. Doesnâ€t make it right from either side. People can date whomever they want. They are a bigot/acting racist if they tell others to avoid interracial dating. Randy Weaver was fine in moving to Idaho b/c he was separatist-he wasnâ€t interacting with anyone else. When the Mexican gangs in LA chase black families out of their hood†through intimidation-that is negatively affecting someone else.

3V level? You assume I disapprove of others' choices because of my preference... and call me 3V.

But if they exclusively date only one race one could easily argue that that's the very definition of bigotry---or even racism.  I mean in today's pop culture mindset anyway.  Of course I would say that that's just them exercising their preference.

What if I prefer my daughter not dating a dumb ass?  Would that make me a bigot as well?  Of course no one wants their daughter dating a dumb ass, but you get my point.  Midgets?  etc...

Ok I'm getting silly now, but you get the point.

1st experience with racism:

I was playing Little League football around 5th-6th grade and our neighborhood ( Linden ) was in all White on one side of Linden Park all Black on the other.
We had 2 Little League Linden Lions teams that practiced there after school both were integrated and never a bit of trouble ever amongst the Players or Coaches.
We would even get to practice early on our bikes and split up teams and play 2 hand touch before the Coaches got there.
I became friends with 2 Black brothers and we always hangout before and after practice. One had a bike one didn't one day after practice they invited me to their house after practice i rode the younger brother double on my stingray to his house.
We get there they both go in the house i wait on the porch , the door was open but there was a screen door.
I hear them asking if "their" friend could come in while they changed cloths.
Their Mom looks out and i hear her in a muffled voice scolding them , finally the older one comes to the door and says can you wait on the sidewalk.
I'm just going to leave when she must have had a change of heart and comes to the door and tells her son to go ahead a let your " friend' come in.
At that point i'm torn what to do but she then opens the door and says come on in here.
I go in stand by the door while they hurry and change they come back out we go throw the football around in the street for awhile.
The younger brother says to me out of ear shot from his Mom.
Your the 1st White person thats ever been in our house. LOL
Probably the Last ........

My preference as a parent is that my children date/marry someone that is Christian, a good person and who is good to my son/daughter.  Otherwise, I don't care about their race or their appearance, which is all superficial.

Race = culture. You don't care about the race, it's superficial. I understand. I grew up with black people. Whites were the minority in my high school. There were places white people didn't go. Park in the wrong parking lot for a football game and it might end badly. My neighborhood was about 50% white. Everybody got along.

White people will never be fully accepted into other cultures. Your daughter/son marries a black spouse... can he/she drop the n-word at a family reunion? A BBQ? No. They're a white person. That's the most obvious example... there are others.

Random thought I had the other day when I saw someone wearing a family reunion t-shirt with the year and family x and y listed on the shirt. How many white families have legit family reunions like that? (where almost everyone comes, distant family and it is a big celebration) Friends and I used to play tennis at a park, if we played Saturday afternoon during the summer, many times there were large family reunions, exclusively black families and this was in a whiter part of town.

I think it's cool that black families do that. Probably similar with Hispanic families where they are prevalent. My Filipino wing of the family does that to an extent, but they are distant relatives and are/were kind of far away. With the closer family Christmas/Thanksgiving/50th anniversaries/special birthday/etc. and the like were done on occasions. Just never a random Saturday in say July for a reunion.

I have two nephews (white) that married black women. As far as I know, nobody cares that they are black.

This is how insane Trump has made the left. I listen to Sirius radio and yesterday one liberal idiot called in and asked if it is true that Trump has white supremasists tattoos on his body? How much more insane can they go? The leftist host said he is very worried that one of Trumps supporters will shoot the democrat that beats him before they can take office. It would be funny if it weren't so crazy.

MSNBC Analyst: Trumpâ€s Comment Can Be Interpreted to Mean ‘Heil Hitlerâ€
An MSNBC analyst suggested that President Donald Trumpâ€s comment mentioning the eighth day of August could be construed to be a reference to the Nazi salute, “Heil Hitler.”
“The numbers “88” are very significant in neo-Nazi and white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter 'H' is the eighth letter of the alphabet and, to them, the numbers “88” together stand for “Heil Hitler.”

Someone posted this HH thing the other day and it's making me wonder now if perhaps people might actually be going to jail over the whole Rissian hoax/fiasco.  I mean It looks like 4th and 44 for every waking moment.  Before it was just 4th and 10 with 2 min to play.  Now it's 4th and 44 with under a min and no more time outs.  Something to consider anyway, because this is now well beyond insane.
