I'm kinda-sorta back! Thanks to zig for reaching out!
I haven't had time for much of anything lately. Between raising a toddler, school, and work I am stretched. We just implemented a financials ERP on July 1st (Ohio State is moving to the same one next year), so I was working 60-70 hour weeks in May and June, and 50-ish or more since March. Couple that with about 15 hours a week of school in spring and 6 hours a week in summer, and I'm exhausted.
Fortunately, I still get to spend time with my daughter (even if my school work suffers). She'll be 2 in October, and as you all have said time really does fly. She's smart, rambunctious, and goofy as hell. But we're starting to enter the terrible twos as well.
I don't expect to be back full time. Though I've toned it back to one class per semester for summer, fall, and spring, I don't plan to spend a ton of time dilly-dallying online. That said, I'd like to read up on what's been going on in here.

PS, you are a lucky man with a good life and family.

Good to hear from you! Sounds like a full life, but a good one. Enjoy your daughter, sheâ€ll only be two once.

Fun fact: The kid had a meltdown last week while "Sanitarium" was playing in the background.

Good to hear about your recent exploits. You clearly are working hard. You are so correct in taking out the extra time for daughter. My son is now soon to be 27, and I know itâ€s cliche, but it really does seem like yesterday he was going through the terrible twoâ€s. Actually two wasnâ€t too bad. Age four was worse. By the time they are six, you can finally sleep in occasionally.

Let me know when you have an hour or so to meet. That bar near Little Five Points works for me, or anything in midtown of course.
I have not yet found a "bar" in midtown I really like. The Nook is handy, but more of a restaurant of course. Margot's is nice but very expensive, duh. We both like Cafe Intermezzo a lot, but it's more coffee house with nice bar and pretty good food. PCM has some interesting places of course.
There is a sports bar off Monroe right next to the park that isn't bad, but only been there twice now, right on the Beltline, and of course the New Realm place is south of PCM and on the Beltline also. It's not bad, some nice outdoor seating.
