Owners of biblical replica of Noah's ark sue over ... rain damage (and it wasn't even 40 days and 40 nights)
The owner of the life-size replica of Noah†s Ark in Northern Kentucky has sued its insurers for refusing to cover, of all things … rain damage.
Ark Encounter, which unveiled the 510-foot-long model in 2016, says that heavy rains in 2017 and 2018 caused a landslide on its access road, and its five insurance carriers refused to cover nearly $1 million in damages.
In a 77-page lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Ark Encounter asks for compensatory and punitive damages.
The ark itself was not damaged and the road has been rebuilt, according to the suit.
The park is open, said Melany Ethridge, a spokeswoman at the attraction†s Dallas-based public relations firm, who only laughed when informed that Ark Encounter had sued over flood damage.

That Ark brought two lawyers...
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

I have no idea about the merits of their suit, but you didn't really believe that the replica ark is actually sea worthy, did you?

I didn't really believe there was any ark to make a replica of seaworthy or not.

Why not? Some people believe Noah built the Ark at age 600 and the Ark carried two of every creature. Some even believe Noah lived to 950.

That's all beside the point. If the owners of the replica paid to be covered for water damage, than it seems that they may have a case.

Since this is a life size replica I'd like to seem them get two of every kind of animal on there. Should be a comical exercise. Never mind food and water for 40 (or 150) days. Not to mention dealing with waste. The notion that this is a supposed to be a literally true story makes one question the sanity of those who believe that.

I'd give them a pass on all that if they could provide a 600 year old sailor.

Would it matter if it was the largest frying pan in the world? No. It's an insurance matter, not a Christian matter. Yet, the usual suspects come out to play... foolish.

Built an ark, at any age, with no power tools and then collected/stored enough food for a YEAR to feed 2 of every animal.
