Yes. I have seen a ghost. Yes I believe there is a spirit that occupies the human machine.  Yes I believe this conciousness  or life force moves on after human expiration.
I believe sometimes there is a "glitch in the matrix " where these two planes cross paths.

Yes, the lifeforce continues after this body dies.  I posted on this before and pretty much got asshat responses.  I have seen and heard absolute, undeniable proof.  And I was not a believer before that.  I actually feel sorry for the Thirds out there that think that this miserable existence is all there is.
OK, wait for it.

Tell the story about you seeing the ghost.  I vaguely remember a story about a woman( medium) who had contact with the dead and gave you some information that no one could know.  I remember most of your stories.
I wasn't talking about ghosts.  I don't know if "ghosts" exist.  I just know that we transition after death to a spiritual realm.  There are a lot of charlatan mediums out there that give the few legitimate ones a bad name.  Debra Martin, who charged nothing when I met her, is one of the legitimate ones.  She relayed messages to me from both parents and both brothers who had passed.  Messages in minute detail and nothing general.  Specific incidences and experiences that only my family and I knew.  And she got NOTHING wrong, so forget about all the "fishing" readings so many charlatans do.  One solid hour of confirmations.

I asked questions, and specific, correct answers were given.  I challenged her statements and tried to trip her up.  Nope. She gave me the correct answers every time.  A life changing experience.  And I would have absolutely no reason to make this shiit up and relay it to a bunch of strangers on a talk forum.  No reason at all.
This Debra Martin.  Where is she located?  Is she accepting new referrals?

Didn't have to wait long.
Even when I was not a believer, I kept an open mind.
Some aren't capable of that.  I am not a medium but I can predict the next 2 who will deride this.  Poor, closed minded fools that they are.

i don't think religion has anything to do with no being fooled by con-artists.

On second thought, maybe it does.

I haven't been in a church since I was 12.  This has nothing to do with religion.  It is simply that I have received confirmation that we exist beyond this plane.  No doubt what so ever.  We will know the truth about "religion" when we pass.  My mother was very religious, my brother and dad were agnostics, my other brother was a devoted atheist.  Yet they all came together and communicated thru Debra.  Kinda confuses the issue, doesn't it?

Thatâ€s some freaky shlt.  Did you go back to see her again?  Did any of your siblings see her and confirm this?  What Was there Reaction when you told them this?
I did have another reading with her years later.  It was as bad and the first one was good.  I gave her a book on the U of A professor who tested mediums under very controlled conditions.  She called me about 2 years after the reading and thanked me for what a difference I had made in her life.  I didn't know what she was talking about and told her it was the other way around.  She said she contacted the U of A and tested higher than any other person they had tested.  She has since written 2 or 3 books and appeared on many television shows.  She has helped law enforcement in many cases.

The funny thing is, I didn't even remember having that book.  It was on the bottom shelf of the coffee table I was sitting by.  When she finished the reading and we were just talking, I uncrossed my legs and my foot hit that book and it fell out right in front of me.  She remembered that and said it wasn't by accident.

Even the coincidence of me meeting her was amazing, but that is another story.  She now charges a considerable fee for readings now.  I have read that once one does this for financial gain, their "gift" becomes diminished.  this seems to be true, as my sister in law had a reading that had some confirmations in it from her deceased daughter, but a lot of it did not make any sense to her.  My reading all made sense, the first one, that is.

Both siblings were deceased and were the brothers that came through.  She said my brother said he came to me in a dream.  I had told my wife about the dream, as it seemed as real as could be.  He had come to me as I was sitting on a bench in a grassy park, under a huge shade tree, with a like in front of me.  We were never a hugging, physical affection showing type of family.  In the dream he came up to me and hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.  (we had had a bad breakdown in our relationship after he became ill.)  I asked Debra to tell him to describe what happened in the dream, as a challenge to verify she was really communicating with him.  She described the dream almost exactly as I just described it.  Doubters would tell me she just made a lucky guess.  Yeah, right.

I could list more than a dozen equally unique confirmations she gave me from all 4 of my deceased relatives.  If anyone is interested, I don't mind sharing more.  I just hate the crappy responses like Pitch felt he had to throw in.

Soup, yes she is still doing readings.  She does them by phone.  the last couple of readings have not been all that great, which I addressed in the other post.  So I can't guarantee anything, but while the recent readings haven't been anywhere near the experience I had, they were still impressed and received at least some confirmations that they said no one could have known except for the deceased and them.

Debra said dad was coming thru.  Said he was surrounded by smoke and really loved his tobacco.  Dad was a chain smoker and smoke Camel non filters, one after another.  He told her he visits wife and I and sits in the leather recliner(which Debra pointed out) because "no one ever sits there".   True.  Said the wife usually sits where I was.  She said he was laughing at all the water she drinks.  (wife always has a water bottle with her)  She said he was laughing again because I had smelled his smoke and blamed my wife for sneaking cigarettes.  This was also true.  I smelled cigarette smoke on at least two occasions and was sure wife was backsliding, despite her denying it emphatically.  Wife got a good laugh and a "I told you so" out of that.

Older brother came thru(he was 15 yrs. older than I)  he told her that he helped me a lot when I was younger.  Very true.  He helped get us out of a very poor neighborhood in Oklahoma, basically supported the family, and helped me with a place to live and financially thru college.

The reading was just before Christmas and I had been sitting on the back patio reminiscing about the 4 of us being together for all those years, and all those Christmases .  Feeling pretty sad, i remember thinking " I am all alone now, I am the last one left."  Debra ended the reading by saying,
"Don, your family is all saying for me not to feel like I am all alone, that you are not the last one left.  We are always with you."

You see, Debra was a complete stranger to me.  She had no idea I had 2 brothers, she had no way of knowing if I had a sister or not.  My room was full of taxidermy and hunting pictures.  She did not say anything about my brothers hunting with me, as a fake would have guessed.  And you know what?  Neither one of them ever hunted.  What she did say was my brother closest to my age showed her images of he and I playing baseball together.  Baseball was our sport, both of us played college ball, and spent nearly every day in the summer, as kids, at the ball bark.

K9, I know you love dogs like I do.  I had a dog at the time that was the best dog ever.  I sure loved him.  I asked her if dogs were with us in that plane of existence.  She said "absolutely".  I challenged her again to describe what dog was there.  She described my last dog, Nick, to a tee.  she said "they are holding up a medium-small terrier.  he is a shaggy white dog with a black patch over one eye."  That was Nick, described perfectly.  Pretty good "guess", and no, there weren't any pictures of him in the house.

As I said earlier, Debra did not tell me anything that was wrong.  A charlatan fishes, guesses, and hopes to get a few things right.  Debra knew the 4 people who had died  and gave me messages no one else on Earth could possibly have known.

One thing that did not make sense to wife and I was Mom said I still had her silver box.  Me, thinking it would be a box, made of silver.  Didn't make sense.  I only had a couple of things Mom had possessed so it seemed like I would know what this was.  Debra said, "just keep it in mind and it will make sense some day."
Well about 4 years later we had some of the in laws visiting and the conversation turned to silverware.  Wife asked me to go get Mom's silverware to show them.  I carried it downstairs and looked at wife and said,  "You know what this is, don't you."  Her eyes got big and it hit her that this was the "silver box" Debra had told us about.  Instead of a box made out of silver, it was a box containing silverware, which mom always called her "silverbox".  We both got a good laugh out of it, and couldn't believe we didn't thing of it before.  It never made sense to us because Debra was emphasizing silver, instead of box.  That made Debra 100% accurate in everything she relayed to me.

Wow that's awesome!  Thanks for sharing.

I've always believed that dogs are also in Heaven as is, probably, most every living thing that has ever existed, with the probable exception of mosquitoes and similar pests.

Another story of affirmation: As I said I was a non believer all my life. My Mom died shortly after wife and I met and got serious. One of the few possessions I had of Mom's was one of the lamps that turn on with a touch. It goes brighter every time you touch the base , 4 times I think, then goes off on the 5th touch. I got this for Mom when she was in extended nursing care and did not have the strength to turn on a regular lamp. She loved that lamp and thanked me every time I came to visit, which was every day.
Well several months after her passing, wife and I were sitting on the couch and started reminiscing about her. We could see the lamp through the hall, sitting on my night stand. As we were discussing her that lamp came on. All by itself. It had never done that before. Wife said, "well that is your Mom letting us know she is here with us." I remember thinking how weird that sounded. Wife believed wholeheartedly in the afterlife. We were recently married and had not really had that discussion before. I kinda thought it was a short in the lamp, or some other explanation, but it did get me thinking.

Probably a half hour later we went to bed. We were laying there, the lamp still on, and started discussing Mom again and I asked if she really thought that the lamp going on was a sign from her. I had no more than asked the question when the lamp went up another level. I was a little freaked, but as we continued talking, whenever we mentioned her the lamp went up(twice more, if memory serves). So anyway, I knew it was at it brightest level by now. I was thinking that if she was responding to our conversation about her I would try something. I concentrated and silently wished, "Mom, if that is really you, please turn out the light." That lamp immediately went dark. I still get hair standing up on the back of my neck thinking about that. I told wife what I had just wished for, and got another "I told you so" out of it.
