After a pre-game skirmish, referee announces that every Texas and Oklahoma player has been issued an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. A second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for ANY player after the game kicks off will result in an ejection.

Ridiculous.
that ref should be canned.
I read on another site flashing the horns down sign will get you ejected. Lame.

15yds for "horns down" is a joke... they've jumped the shark.
Herman's O has been shutdown.
Hurts is Texas' best defense... 4 trips to the RZ = 2TOs and 10pts.
OU defensive holding or PI on virtually every play or as the announcers called it “letting them play”, lol. Yeah right.

Brutus Buckeye

They should have all thrown up the Horns Down at the final whistle.

lol.  The Sooners get screwed by the refs in the RRR than Stormy Daniels.  Did you see TU's last TD?  BS roughing the passer on 3rd and 8 and even more BS pass interference call in the end zone.  Gift TD.
This year was not nearly as bad as it has been, though.
Gus Johnson told Joel Klatt "we have never seen an OU defense like this before". Klatt's response "OU had tough defenses in the early 2000's".

Did either watch OU football in the 70's, 80's or 90's?

Leroy Semon(and other lesser Demons), Box, and Tony Casillas are about all I can think of on D. Really never been their thing as far as I remember.
Selmons not demons

Bosworth, Tommy Harris, Gerald McCoy, Granville Liggins, Roy Williams, on and on.

I did.  Switzer's defenses were awesome.  He used to drive me to distraction by winning the toss and electing to kick off(giving the opponent an extra possession, as the other team obviously would get the second half kickoff as well).  His liked his defenses so much.  He did this even twice against Nebraska when they were both top ten teams.  One Nebraska game OU did not allow them across midfield the entire game.  Don't know if I have even heard of that before.  Yes, OU used to have some salty defense.
(Of course I am sure HT would say they never played anyone even then.)

(Some of you guys listen to ESPN too much.  The SEC defenses don't fair too well against big 12 offenses either)

In my lifetime no program had better defenses year in and year out. I started watching cfb in 1973.

Yes.  I am afraid the  Mike Stoops era of "defense" will taint OU's image for some time.  they have to earn it back.  Grinch is starting that process.
