Who has secured what?  St Louis and Milwaukee still battling. LA in with Braves and Nationals.  Indians out, Twins in.   Yankees and Tampa Bay in and Oakland too.  Houston in
Rays up!
St Louis claims the central NL division title and Milwaukee is wildcard team.
Cubs fire Joe Maddon and Pirates fire Clint Hurdle.  They are both close to the same age so I do wonder if either gets another manager job.
Cubs fired Maddon?  Lol.  The guy that brought them a WS title gets axed by the friggin Cubs?  Reds will take him. (I’m saying that as a fan).

Their front office is too stupid to make that move.

Their front office office is too smart to take him is the truth.   Reds have a good front office staff finally, and have to add players who are clutch and who can win.  Reds have a nice core to bring back too.
If the Reds played in the other divisions. I said it in April, the NL Central is the weakest division in the MLB.

AL East 28 games back
AL Central 26 games back
AL West 32 gams back
NL East 22 games back
NL Central 16 games back
NL West 31 games back

The Reds management is a clown show that continues to mismanage the team and fool the fans.  Hiring Bell was confirmation of that.

IF you kept up you would know Walt Jocketty was the person behind many of the dumb front office moves.  Dick Williams and Nick Krall are working to change this.

Let me know when any of that amounts to any improvement in the product on the field.

Pretty stupid comparison really.   Let the NL central play the Orioles and Tigers and White Sox which are all worse teams.   The AL aside from about 4-5 teams is not good at all.
Houston
NY
Twins
Devil Rays
Oakland

Cleveland?    Maybe.

They won 11 more games this year.  That's not improving?   They moved up in standings out of last place.  That's not improving?

Their record is similar to what Riggleman did after he took over last season and he didn't have nearly the talent to work with. The last two permanent manager hires were Price and Bell. Idiocy.
